Our mission has always been to help people pay and budget their bills in the easiest and most flexible way. We want to create the best product at the most competitive price for our customers and we always try to avoid a fee increase wherever we can. However, with the impact that higher inflation is having, an adjustment to the Deferit subscription fee is necessary to maintain the same quality of service. Therefore, from 12AM (EST) July 1, 2022, the subscription fee will increase to $9.99 for all active subscriptions.
Rest assured we continue to remain interest free with no late fees, and are always working on improving the Deferit experience for everyone.
Below are answers to a few common questions about the fee change:
When was I notified of the fee change?
All accounts with an active subscription have received an email at least 30 days prior to the billing date. If you did not receive an email, please let us know. An info banner will also be displayed in your Deferit account.
I didn't see the notification about the fee change?
If you did not see the email, please confirm that the email address associated with your account is correct. Please also check that our emails are not going to your junk or spam folders.
What if I don’t want to pay the new fee?
You can opt out of the new fee by canceling your subscription before July 1. In order to do so please repay any bills that are currently active in your account before canceling.
