Membership plans
Choose the plan that suits your needs. All plans include access to Pay in 4, Bill Pay, and Bill Negotiation:

Lite – $14.99/month
- Full access to Pay in 4, Bill Pay, and Bill Negotiation
- Late fees apply if instalments are paid after the due date
- Pay 50% of your bill negotiation savings
- You can move a due date in advance to avoid late fees (must be done before the payment is overdue)

Max – $19.99/month
- Full access to Pay in 4, Bill Pay, and Bill Negotiation
- Pay 50% of your bill negotiation savings
- No late fees for overdue Pay in 4 instalments
- If you cancel a Pay in 4 instalments instead of paying or rescheduling it, late fees will apply

Ultra – $24.99/month
- Full access to Pay in 4, Bill Pay, and Bill Negotiation
- No late fees on any instalments, ever
- Free bill negotiations (you keep all the savings)
You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your membership anytime from your account settings.

$0.99 processing fee
Each successful debit or credit card payment — including Pay in 4 and Bill Pay — includes a flat $0.99 processing fee. This helps cover payment costs while keeping Deferit interest-free.
Security deposit (Pay in 4 only)
In some cases, we may request a one-time, refundable security deposit before approving your first Pay in 4 bill. This deposit is returned after a period of consistent on-time payments.
Late fees (Lite plan only)
Only Lite members may be charged late fees. Here’s how they work:
- $10 if a payment is 2 days overdue
- An additional $8 if unpaid after 7 days
- Capped at the lesser of $68 or 25% of the repayment amount
Max and Ultra members never pay late fees.
What’s included in all plans
- Pay in 4: Split eligible bills into four interest-free installments
- Bill Pay: Pay bills in full using your card — we’ll pay the biller directly
- Bill Negotiation: Lite and Max include limited requests; Ultra includes unlimited
- Credit reporting: On-time payments across all products are reported to credit bureaus
