You can upload most everyday bills to Deferit — as long as they’re real, payable, and include all required details. We’ll handle the payment, and you pay us back in a way that works for you.
Bill requirements
To be eligible, your bill must:
- Show a total amount due
- Include a due date or payment deadline
- Provide payment instructions (such as an account number, barcode, or billing address)
- Be uploaded as a clear image, PDF, or screenshot
- Be a legitimate bill — not a personal IOU or informal note
Note: You can upload bills even if they’re not in your name — like a partner’s, roommate’s, or family member’s. You just need to be the one repaying through your Deferit account.
Common supported bills
- Utility bills (electricity, gas, water)
- Phone and internet bills
- Car registration or DMV renewals
- Insurance premiums (auto, health, renters, etc.)
- Parking or traffic fines
Unsupported bills
Deferit cannot be used to pay:
- Credit card bills
- Loan repayments (personal, auto, student, etc.)
- Buy now, pay later services (e.g., Klarna, Affirm, Afterpay)
- Subscription services (Netflix, Spotify, Xbox, etc.)
- Donations or crowdfunding (GoFundMe, Kickstarter)
- Court-ordered payments (child support, alimony)
If your bill falls into one of these categories, it won’t be approved during the review step.
Not sure if your bill qualifies?
No worries — just upload it! If there’s an issue, we’ll review it and let you know if anything’s missing or ineligible.

Bottom line
If your bill has a due date, an amount owing, and payment instructions — and it’s not a loan or credit product — there’s a good chance it’s eligible.
Upload it and let Deferit handle the hard part. No interest. No stress. Just smarter budgeting.
