Late fees (Lite plan only)
If you’re on our Lite plan, keeping your scheduled payments up to date will help you avoid late fees. Max and Ultra members don’t pay late fees or failed payment fees.
If you’re on Lite, here’s what happens when a scheduled payment isn’t paid on time:
- If the payment fails: you have until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on its due date to make the payment and avoid a failed payment fee. Otherwise, a $6 fee applies once for that scheduled payment.
- If it’s still unpaid 2 days after the due date: a $12 late fee applies.
- If it’s still unpaid 7 days after the due date: another $12 late fee applies.
The late fee deadlines are also measured at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Late fees apply in addition to any failed payment fee charged for that scheduled payment.
Missing a payment may also limit your ability to use your account, including submitting new bills, until you’ve caught up on any overdue amounts.
Having trouble making a payment?
We understand that things don’t always go to plan. If you’ve been charged a late fee due to circumstances outside your control or you’re experiencing financial hardship, contact our team through the Help Center. We’ll review your situation and may be able to refund the fee.
